“Whenever you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place!”

Life can be challenging, even downright hard sometimes. Kids, finances, relationships, jobs all have a way of cutting us off at the knees sometimes. It makes it easy to want to throw in the towel, take the easy way and turn our backs on our goals and dreams.

I was thinking about you today and how it’s so important to remember that when you feel that way, you are not alone. There is no reason to succumb to those negative thoughts or to the negative events.

There are resources; people, communities, family, work associates who are just waiting for the opportunity to come alongside and keep you standing. I want you to know, I am one of those people in your life too.

**************************

How do I know this? Truth be told, I have had my share of rough times over the course of my life. From the time my oldest was born, I struggled with serious bouts of deep, dark, hopeless depression. If you have ever been there, you know how impossible it is to see light or happiness in your world. No doubt I wanted to feel and experience that happiness, but the chemistry in my own body was conspiring against my higher purpose. It took a lot of work, tons of love and patience from my husband and family to buoy me through those dark challenging days. Maybe you are having one of those days, weeks or years!

***************************

Though I do a lot of tough talking, prodding and pushing, my heart is that you will succeed at as many things as you can dream, and focus on the light of possibilities instead of the doubt that darkness brings. We are all made so uniquely, so incredibly special and no circumstances can change your value. I implore you to reach out for the hands that are willing to help you see those hopes and dreams come true, even if you feel like you are underwater right now!

So if you are struggling today, I encourage you to pick your chin up, remember your dreams and crawl, limp, walk or run towards them with whatever strength and support you can muster. I believe in you…you have a destiny, it’s yours alone! Stay the course, believe in yourself and your dreams!

Wishing you much happiness and joy today!
